Today the theory of the organization is being presented in some contexts as a set of schools of thought which gravitate around the administrative in its historical destiny. For this reason, the alternative proposal of the present paper seeks to present holistically a historical analysis of the main schools of thought in the theory administrative as well as in the epistemology of the organization, and transversely to these; are referenced the conceptualizations of administration, bureaucracy and organization. However, the central argument and main work tries to demonstrate; if the theoretical body of the organization is a set of theory related or if otherwise responds to a specific situation given a historical condition, that is to say; if the management responds to the logic of a complex adaptive system.
Keywords: Theories of administration, history of administration, analysis of administrative thinking
