El impacto del vehículo autónomo, conectado y compartido: de la industria automotriz tradicional a la cadena de valor de la nueva movilidad

Resumen

El artículo analiza el impacto del vehículo autónomo, conectado y compartido en la cadena de valor de la industria automotriz. A través del estudio de caso de cuatro empresas se demuestra que la cadena de valor se enfoca, no tanto al producto (vehículo), sino a los servicios asociados a la conducción autónoma y la conectividad. En este contexto, las empresas ligadas a la nueva movilidad se han posicionado en los primeros niveles de suministro, participan de las actividades de mayor valor añadido y desarrollan la mayor parte de la innovación tecnológica dentro de la cadena. Estas empresas han adquirido un elevado poder de decisión, incluso frente a los fabricantes de automóviles. De los resultados se deriva que los gobiernos deben fomentar la implantación de empresas con tecnologías ligadas a la nueva movilidad ya que revierte en la mejora del nivel tecnológico, mayores ingresos y empleos de calidad en el país.
