Gerencia de Revistas Científicas: un concepto práctico que no se ha teorizado

Resumen

Se busca describir el concepto y procesos de la Gerencia de Revistas Científicas, para unificar criterios teóricos en torno a la gestión de revistas. Se realiza análisis documental (revisión sistemática de bases de datos Web Of Science y Scopus), extrayendo trabajos que referían al termino “journal management” en su contenido. Resultaron 61 documentos, de los cuales, a través de los criterios de exclusión, se revisaron un total de 36, agregándose el término “journal governance”, obteniéndose 2 artículos más de consulta, además de 9 documentos adicionales. Se concluye que el término Gerencia de Revistas es nombrado explícitamente en muchos de estos artículos, pero que no existe a la fecha un concepto plenamente desarrollado.
