Inovação aberta e serviços públicos de saneamento básico

Este estudo buscou analisar a gestão da inovação em empresas regionais de saneamento no Brasil e verificar a realização de práticas de Inovação Aberta nos processos de pesquisa & desenvolvimento destas empresas. Foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter exploratório e descritivo, cujas empresas objetos de estudo foram àquelas prestadoras de serviços de saneamento básico. Os resultados evidenciaram que as empresas utilizam-se intencionalmente de fontes externas de conhecimento em seus processos de inovação, buscando internalizar inovações tecnológicas às suas operações, sendo que estas interações ocorrem majoritariamente por meio de convênios com universidades e institutos de pesquisa e da cooperação com fornecedores.
