El análisis de big data atrae un creciente interés en las estrategias de adquisición debido a la posibilidad de reducir los costos, respaldar el proceso de toma de decisiones y evitar el fraude. Sin embargo, los profesionales de adquisiciones parecen tener dificultades para definir la mejor manera de implementar complejos análisis de datos. Este documento tiene como objetivo explorar el papel de la alineación de la organización y el comportamiento de las personas en iniciativas de big data en adquisiciones. En una encuesta con 219 ejecutivos, los resultados sugieren que las estrategias de organización y adquisición deben estar alineadas y que el impulsor clave para avanzar es la reducción de costos y la voluntad de usar nuevas tecnologías. Aunque los comportamientos son relevantes en los procesos de gestión, los comportamientos del comprador no tienen un impacto significativo en la implementación de estrategias de big data.
