Abstract

The research project addressed the need to implement strategies mediated by information and communication tech- nologies aimed at improving the learning process of graphic design students. Three main problems were identified: the lack of available technological resources, the limitations inherent in traditional methods for experimentation, and the difficulties in attending to individual learning rhythms. In the specific case of the Universidad Autónoma del Caribe,

40 these issues were exacerbated by late enrollments, which affected the regular development of the academic cycle. Based on this situation, the following question arose: How is it possible to implement learning strategies and resources medi- ated by information and communication technologies to enhance interactivity and depth in the teaching and learning process of graphic design students at the Universidad Autónoma del Caribe in Barranquilla during 2024? To answer this question, the use of tools such as YouTube, Instagram, and practical guides was proposed, in order to adapt teaching to contemporary communication styles. Thus, it was understood that information and communication technologies are not only support tools but also transformative agents capable of modifying educational methods and generating more meaningful learning experiences that better prepare students to face the challenges of their professional future.
