For the implementation of the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), an initial assessment of how their processes are found in the logistics, activities and tasks that form this methodology must be established as a baseline. There are currently different conceptual references of ILS, but as regards a specific methodology for the assessment of logistics elements, it is not specified in these elements as can be done, only details from their application context the specific guidelines of the elements and how they interact with each of the life cycle phases of systems or products.
This is where the need arises to design a specific methodology to assess the level of implementation and maturity of the above-mentioned logistical elements for the specific case of the National Navy, taking into account the characteristics of this organization and the environment in which its operations are carried out, within the framework of the project “Assessment of the level of implementation and maturity of the ILS logistics elements within the National Navy for the subsequent definition of the concept of maintenance of the SPS Strategic Platform”, this in order to provide input requirements (critical success factors) required for the subsequent definition of the concept of maintenance of the SPS.
