Value creation in undergraduate programs in agricultural sciences.

Resumen

 

Una Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias en Colombia, adelantó un proceso de identificación de iniciativas para la construcción de su plan estratégico institucional, orientado hacia el mejoramiento de sus procesos misionales y al logro de la excelencia académica en sus cuatro programas curriculares de pregrado: Ingeniería Agronómica, Ingeniería Agrícola, Ingeniería Forestal y Zootecnia.

Como resultado de las actividades realizadas por el equipo directivo, se identificó como iniciativa más importante, la necesidad de realizar un análisis prospectivo en cada programa curricular con miras a generar procesos de actualización y modernización en cada uno de ellos. Así, se desarrollaron talleres prospectivos con los claustros de docentes, en los cuales se desarrollaron las etapas de análisis prospectivo: contextualización, identificación de elementos de análisis, priorización y síntesis, enunciación de escenarios y formulación de objetivos relevantes a los elementos prioritarios, durante 2016 y 2017.

Posterior a la presentación de los informes, se realizó un análisis transversal de los resultados, el cual permitió elaborar una propuesta de sistema de gestión de creación de valor en formación, mediante la identificación de los elementos más relevantes mencionados por los participantes en los talleres, y gracias a su ubicación dentro de un sistema de actividades.

Los hallazgos muestran que el ejercicio prospectivo puede contribuir, tanto al proceso de formulación de la estrategia, como al despliegue de la estrategia en el diseño estructural para la generación de valor, en el contexto universitario
