Abstract

The article proposes an exhaustive analysis of the violation of the human rights of the migrant population in transit through Colombia towards the Darién Gap, between the years 2020 and 2024, from a biolaw perspective. These people full of desire for progress, who in search of a better future have made the decision to leave their countries of origin; as a result of situations such as poverty, internal violence, lack of opportunities, the desire to reunite with their families, among others. In this way, through a qualitative methodological approach, the risk conditions and violations suffered by this population are examined in a context where the State has not been efficient in controlling the unleashed crisis, much less has it managed to create strategies. to protect migrants. The research combines socio-legal tools with qualitative and quantitative techniques to offer a comprehensive vision of the situation, supported by current national and international regulations on human rights. This exploration seeks not only to highlight the problems faced by migrants, but also to promote concrete actions to guarantee their protection and well-being during their passage through Colombia and on their journey through the jungle to the United States, their destination country.
