DINAMICA DEL TURISMO DE SALUD INTERNACIONAL: UNA APROXIMACION CUANTITATIVA

Abstract

El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar con de manera cuantitativa la dinámica y tendencias regionales del turismo de salud a nivel global. Se presentan las principales variables y tendencias que han consolidado un sector innovador caracterizado por la relación de diferentes sectores en la oferta del servicio final. La metodología utilizada se basa en la revisión bibliográfica de artículos científicos, de revisión e informes de consultoras sobre dinámicas regionales del turismo de salud. Como resultado se evidencia que el sector se encuentra en pleno aumento de la demanda de turistas internacional y que los principales oferentes se encuentran en proceso de especialización de los servicios médico-turísticos ofrecidos. También se concluye que los principales oferentes de servicios turísticos de salud en diferentes continentes cuentan con ventajas competitivas que permite la oferta de servicios diversos según la demanda del turista.
