In Colombia, four beaches have been certified in sustainability under the scheme called ServiCert, in addition, others four beaches have obtained the International Blue Flag Certification. This paper analyzes the Colombian tourist actors’ perceptions about the sustainability beaches certification; it has an empirical and qualitative methodology with a descriptive scope. Likewise, it suggests two adjustments to NTS TS 001-2 for maximize its implementation. The first consists in the flexibilization of its requirements; and the second refers to the way in which this kind of processes are conceived.
