The experimental development in middle and higher education institutions can be enriched through the implementation of complementary tools, such as simulations, since these can function as an addition to a real laboratory practice. The objective is to teach students to read and use a micrometer screw properly, through the creation of a dynamic simulation in GeoGebra. To implement learning strategies, two activities were developed: the first one aimed at recognizing measurements with the micrometer screw, and the second one aimed at verifying the student's ability to read the measurement correctly. For the creation of the simulation, dynamic variables were implemented using sliders, measurement elements were generated using texts and sequences of segments, and finally, interactive tools such as buttons, texts, and input boxes were used for the implementation of the activities.
