Abstract

En este periodo de modernización, los países se encuentran en constante cambio, progreso e transformación, fortaleciendo
sus capacidades técnicas y cognitivas para darle mayor valor agregado a la materia prima disponible. Por lo
anterior, el grado de desarrollo de un país se condicionado a la capacidad de generación de conocimiento, el recurso
humano y el desarrollo de nuevas tecnologías. Las condiciones necesarias y suficientes para aumentar la productividad
del sector agropecuario y la promoción de la utilización de las fuentes no convencionales de energía (FNCE)
están estipuladas en el marco regulatorio para el desarrollo rural y el uso de las Energías Renovables. Sin embargo,
en muchos países son las redes de conocimiento las que permiten agrupar las capacidades humanas y tecnológicas
para tener la posibilidad de obtener más y mejores recursos. El presente artículo presenta la importancia y rol
participativo que ha tenido la Red Internacional para la Promoción de la Investigación y Docencia en Energización
Rural para el desarrollo Agroindustrial Sostenible (PRIDERAS), en la promoción de la investigación en las distintas
regiones del país que por medio de la formulación y ejecución de proyectos por parte de la comunidad académica e
investigativa han fortalecido el desarrollo del sector agroindustrial y FNCE presentes en Colombia.
