The lack of knowledge of many people in Colombia regarding the functioning of political processes, especially in the development of campaign activities during the elections, makes them susceptible to the publicity they receive from different parties, generating support without criteria and without knowledge about government plans and support for the population needs. The different political parties that carry out their campaign activities in the area use various strategies to obtain votes efficiently. This work seeks to analyse and evaluate through a simulation model the behaviour of political parties and the efficiency of advertising activities in political campaigns for the municipal assembly of Andes (Antioquia - Colombia) in the last electoral campaigns, aimed at the dominant parties. This research concludes the importance of having appropriate strategies for the acquisition of votes. The data analysis shows the importance that each political party must carry out an in-depth analysis on the percentages of the population that exist among the voters, and determine their sources of income, the latter being essential when campaigning and obtaining good results
