Plan de implementación de six Sigma en el proceso de admisiones de una institución de educación superior

Abstract

Este artículo presenta una propuesta de implementación de la metodología Six Sigma para el proceso de Admisiones
de una IES1 en Colombia. En primer lugar se realizó un diagnóstico de la situación actual, se analizaron
las variables más influyentes por medio de la matriz DOFA2 y se propuso el cálculo del nivel sigma del proceso.
Posteriormente se realizó: evaluación de las causas raíces de los problemas detectados por medio del diagrama
causa- efecto, ponderación de dichas causas, mediante la técnica del “cinco ¿Por qué?” y desarrollo de la metodología
DMAIC3. Finalmente, con la información obtenida se propuso un plan de acción, el cual fue validado por
medio de un análisis de expertos4, concluyendo que esta metodología es apropiada para el proceso de Admisiones
de una IES.
