During the coffee production process, a large amount of organic waste is generated, which if not disposed correctly can cause considerable damage to the environment. At each stage of the coffee production process, different types of residues with different properties are obtained, which means that they can be used in different areas. Due to the use of these residues, new products have been generated in areas such as pharmaceuticals, food, construction, in the generation of biofuels, and in the polymer industry as reinforcement of some types of polymers. In this review, existing studies on polymeric composites reinforced with some coffee residues such as coffee husk, silver skin and ground coffee are analyzed; in each of them there were improvements in some properties. In all cases, there was an increase in tensile strength and an increase in modulus, which shows that polymeric composite materials reinforced with coffee residues are a great option for the use of these residues.
