This article aims to identify the logistical processes and analyze the supply chain in clay mining in La Guajira. It was developed under a descriptive approach and a non-experimental design, focused on analyzing the characteristics and particularities of the productive process in artisanal clay mining. The production process associated with mining activity presents an operational structure based on local resources, empirical knowledge, and low-level technology. During the procurement phase, material extraction is carried out on small-scale plots without the application of planning methodologies or geotechnical studies to guide the rational exploitation of the resource. Operations rely on manual tools and traditional techniques, using inputs such as rice husks, sand, and untreated water. Finally, the absence of technical control in these stages generates variability in the quality of the final product and reduces the efficiency of the production process.
