Importance of Control Processes in the Improvement of Business Organizations in Developing Countries

Organizations in emerging countries face structural challenges that impede sustained growth. Therefore, control processes become systematic strategic instruments for improving business efficiency and sustainability through monitoring and measurement activities such as internal audits, which seek to efficiently align their activities with strategic objectives.
This is hampered in MSMEs, as they suffer from poor administrative management. Therefore, companies need to invest in ICTs and human capital to promote a culture based on evaluation, learning, and continuous improvement; this becomes a real competitive advantage.
