Publication ethics  of Journal Encuentros

Publication ethics and malpractice statement of the Journal Encuentros Encuentros of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Universidad Autonoma del Caribe of the Caribbean, Colombia, is committed to researchers to guarantee ethics and quality in their productions.

The journal responds adequately to the needs of readers and authors, ensuring the quality of what are published, protecting and respecting the content of the articles and the integrity of it.

Encuentros operates a strictly anonymous peer review process in which the reviewer’s name is withheld from the author and, the author’s name from the reviewer. Reviewers may at their own discretion opt to reveal their name to the author in their review but our
standard policy practice is for both identities to remain concealed. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two referees.

All manuscripts are reviewed as rapidly as possible, and an editorial decision is generally reached within 6 - 8 weeks of submission. Authors are welcome to make suggestions for relevant reviewers, confirming that there are no conflicts of interest (e.g., it would not
be appropriate to nominate close colleagues, relatives, or persons with whom one has worked as supervisor/ supervisee).

Before publication Encuentros requires the author as the rights holder, sign the agreement to publish Encuentros as a collaborator. Exclusive license agreement which means that the author retains copyright in the work, but grants the sole and exclusive
right and license to publish for the full legal term of copyright.
