Desarrollo regional y sustentabilidad: turismo cultural en la región sur de Jalisco

Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el potencial del turismo cultural en los municipios que conforman la región
6 del Estado de Jalisco, territorialmente delimitados en el Sur de Jalisco. En primera instancia, se identifica
la demanda de turismo cultural para conocer el perfil del turista cultural bajo los supuestos de que ellos tienden a
viajar distancias más largas que la mayoría de los viajeros. Se estudian sus motivaciones y satisfacciones con el
fin de establecer el potencial de mercado de acuerdo con las características del mercado meta en la región Sur
de Jalisco. Cualquier operación de las empresas de turismo cultural requiere el diagnóstico estratégico, lo que
explica el uso del análisis FODA como una herramienta para la planificación estratégica de estas. Por último, se
proponen algunas estrategias de desarrollo del turismo cultural en esta región del Sur de Jalisco.
